Red Oak Consulting brings over 20 years of expertise in wetland ecology and regulatory affairs, specializing in environmental permitting and mitigation. Our team has extensive experience working with state and federal agencies, with a strong background in coordinating regulatory teams, including state and federal jurisdictional groups and Interagency Review Teams. We excel at navigating complex permitting processes, acting as a liaison between regulatory agencies and public or private interests to ensure smooth project development.
We manage all aspects of the environmental evaluation and permitting process, including site assessments, wetland delineations, regulatory agency coordination, permit application preparation, mitigation planning, and implementation. Our team has handled a wide range of permitting projects, including dredge and fill, stormwater, resource mining, industrial wastewater, and wetland mitigation.
Red Oak Consulting Staff has successfully completed large-scale wetland delineation projects, including those exceeding 10,000 acres in Florida’s Gulf, Walton, Bay, Okaloosa, and Jackson Counties. We have also overseen major projects covering over 40,000 acres in Bay, Gulf, and Walton Counties, demonstrating our capability in managing complex natural resource permitting and mitigation projects.

Amy Douglas
Owner/Operator
Amy Douglas is an experienced environmental consultant with over 20 years of expertise in wetland delineation, evaluation, and permitting across Northwest Florida. Specializing in navigating regulatory frameworks, Amy has successfully managed a variety of projects, including mitigation banking and environmental assessments, working with both public and private sector clients.
Currently the owner/operator of Red Oak Consulting, Amy previously served as Director of Northwest Florida operations for another Consulting firm for over 5 years. She has gained experience with Florida Department of Environmental Protection and other consulting firms over the last 20 years.
In addition to her environmental work, Amy is a equestrian trainer and instructor offering standard and therapeutic horseback riding lessons for individuals with disabilities. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of West Florida.
